Location: Invest Ottawa, 80 Aberdeen St.
Date: Wednesday, April 17th, 2013
Time: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

All welcome!

As Ottawa will be experiencing a higher volume of production this year, the Ottawa Film Office will be hosting a film and TV job crew fair to fill several positions on different productions. This will be a great opportunity for local producers and production companies to meet potential new hires; meeting rooms will be set aside for one-on-one meetings and interviews. The types of positions looking to be filled include production managers and coordinators, location managers, assistant directors, continuity, boom operators, and more!

We are thrilled to announce that the following companies will be attending the job fair: Zed Filmworks, Affinity, Balestra, Quiet Revolution Pictures, Slalom Productions and Mountain Road Productions as well as freelance keys/department heads (grip, electric, camera, art department, unit, makeup, construction, etc.).

Representatives from ProductionGuide.tv will also be onsite to talk about this great new resource for local crew and support services and help sign you up on the spot – or you could do so at any time by visiting http://productionguide.tv/.

We highly encourage all attendees to bring copies of their current resume. Students and those new to the industry are strongly encouraged to attend; however, please note that many of the positions to be filled do require some level of experience.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 5:00pm and sign in. At 5:15pm, each participating company will present a short overview of their company and the positions they are looking to fill. For the following two and a half hours, you’re invited to speak with all the companies and network with other industry members.

Parking:
Parking at the Invest Ottawa is very limited. If arriving by car, please park on the street (where parking is permitted) or at one of the paid lots in the area; you can find a map here.

Public transit:
Invest Ottawa is easily accessible by OC Transpo. The #85 will drop you off almost in front of the building on Preston St., and the #14 a little further on Gladstone. Visit the OC Transpo website for times and maps.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach us at film@investottawa.ca or (613) 828-6274 ext. 214
